Deacon Barry Taylor was born in Wilmington Delaware, a son of Robert and Irene Taylor. He received his early education through the Public School System. He did his Undergraduate Studies in Business Law and Accounting at the University of Delaware. Barry entered Military service in 1970 and served for 35 years between the Active and Reserve components. He married his wife Jeanette in 1977 and they have two children; Jennifer and Matthew. He entered the RCIA Process in 1990 and became Catholic. Barry headed the RCIA Process for 19 years before entering into Diaconate studies with the Diocese of Wilmington. He was ordained in 2013 by Bishop W. Francis Malooly, D.D. and was assigned to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bear Delaware. He recently retired from an Office Furniture Company which he owned and operated in New Castle Delaware and requested reassignment to St. Michael the Archangel / Mary Mother of Peace Parish.
He was assigned as Deacon on April 3, 2016 at St. Michael the Archangel / Mary Mother of Peace Parish, Georgetown / Millsboro, Delaware, where he serves at the present time.
